Love money

It’s ok to love money. There are a lot of people who think money is intrinsically bad or who were raised with that belief. Money amplifies the type of person that someone already was. Money matters for different reasons to different people. The top three reasons to love money are for freedom, to positively impact your community, and to secure yours and your family’s future.

I love money for freedom. Part of the reason I’m on a debt free journey is because of the freedom it allows. When you don’t owe money to anyone for debt you can choose what you want to spend your money on. You can also decide to work less or work at a job that pays less because your bills are lower.

Another great reason to love money is because you can use it to positively impact your community. Now don’t get me wrong, you can positively impact your community even without money, but money can help amplify your efforts. When you love money you can donate to any organizations you see fit.

The third reason to love money is to secure yours and your family’s future. Money can’t necessarily buy happiness, but it can buy security and there’s a certain level of comfort that comes with that. When you have money in savings and money set aside for retirement, you can sleep a little easier. When you have money in savings you can handle life’s unexpected financial challenges with much less stress.

Do you wish you could go back and tell yourself ten years ago that it’s ok to love money? Unfortunately, I don’t have a time machine. The best time to start other than 10 years ago is today. Think about all the good you can do in the world with money. Are you struggling to work through your money mindset issues?
